For articles, go to Content > Articles. In the top toolbar, you'll see a dropdown labeled Status (or something similar).
Select Trashed from the dropdown. This will display all the items in the trash for that particular manager.

Restore items by changing their status back to Published or Unpublished.
Permanently delete items by selecting them and clicking the Empty Trash button in the toolbar.
